Another Sky – Fell In Love With The City

In world currently filled with uncertainty it’s great to see bands still coming through with amazing music and marching on despite the current circumstances facing the musical community. London Four-piece Another Sky are doing just that and are pushing the boundaries of their music further than they ever have.

‘Fell in Love with the City’ is the first release from their upcoming album titled ‘I Slept on the Floor’. If this tune is anything to go by, I can only assume that we’re in for an absolute treat once the album is released on 7th August.

When listening to Another Sky, I’ve always felt a great sense of euphoria in their music, and this tune is no different. The isolated drums, piano and vocals at the beginning of the song really set the scene beautifully for the eruption of guitars that is to come in the chorus. Catrin’s dynamic yet delicate vocals erupt over the guitars, exploding the word’s “I Fell in Love with the City” in your ears beautifully, enabling you to do nothing else but listen.

I’ve always believed that Another Sky’s music has always demanded an audience, in the sense that they are able to make their songs versatile yet so niche at the same time. Their songwriting abilities have definitely grown ever since they blew onto the scene in 2017 and their recent release has definitely proved that point.

If you’re looking for something new to challenge your eardrums then I highly suggest you listen to Another Sky, loud.
